What are the periods of replacement and return of goods and they are divided into two periods: -
First: Replacement and return within the 14-day period from the date of receiving the commodity without reason, with some exceptions.
Second: Replacement or refund of defective goods within 30 days from the date of receipt
We present that as follows: -
First: Replacement and return within the 14-day period from the date of receiving the commodity without reason. The consumer has the right to replace or return the commodity with a refund of its monetary value, without giving any reasons and without incurring any expenses within fourteen days of receiving it.
As an exception to this, the consumer may not exercise the right to exchange or return in the following cases:
1- If the nature of the commodity, its characteristics, or the way it is packaged or wrapped, prevents its replacement or return, or if it is impossible to return it to the condition it was in at the time of the contract.
2- If the perishable consumer goods.
3- If the commodity is not in the same condition as it was at the time of sale for a reason attributed to the consumer.
4- If it is a commodity that is manufactured according to special specifications set by the consumer, and the commodity conforms to these specifications.
5- Books, newspapers, magazines, information programs and the like.
6 - If the commodity is considered to be jewelery and the like.
7- Undergarments and wedding dresses, if their covers have been removed.
Second: Replacement or recovery of defective goods within 30 days from the date of receipt. The consumer has the right, within thirty days of receiving the commodity, to replace or return it with a refund of its monetary value if it was marred by a manufacturing defect, with the original purchase invoice.
In these cases, the consumer must resort to the supplier (the seller, the distributor company, or the guarantor company) and explain the defect.
In these cases, the supplier is obligated, based on the consumer's request, to replace or recover the commodity with a refund of its value without any additional cost to the consumer within a week from the date the consumer resorted to it, and the refund of the paid amount shall be in the same way as the purchase.
In the event of a dispute about a defect in the commodity, the consumer has the right to file a complaint with the agency, which in turn examines and investigates the complaint, communicates with the supplier, and issues a binding decision in this regard.
